Thanksgiving is the #1 day of the year for home cooking fires. But with some preparation, you can make sure a little burnt food does not send your holiday plans up in flames.

  1. Check the batteries in your Smoke Detector

Get new batteries if they are low. Need to be checked yearly.

  1. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby

Try it out beforehand to make sure you are comfortable using it.

  1. Run a fire drill with your family and friends

You will be happy you practiced!
